Tips To Create Time Lapse Video
As a PhotoGame continues, our next task is to complete “time lapse video”. In this case, i decided to capture the Grand Dorsett Hotel building as a stationary object while the traffics in front of it as a moving objects. This shots taken every 2 seconds interval within more than 1 hour exposure.
The Precautions
In order to get best pictures, i have a few tips to sharing with, take a look as follows.
- Use a sturdy tripod and location to place your camera. I put mine beside the traffic and building
- make sure any auto features in your camera are not on auto.
- Use wireless remote shutter release.
- Make sure you have enough battery power, use a battery grip for long time lapse
- Setting your image with appropriate size and use JPG format for this purpose
How-To
1) Set up your shot with sturdy tripod. Set your camera with desired angle and point of interest.
2) Test your shot. Take a test shot to calculate your right exposure and set the focus.
3) Set and plug your wireless remote shutter. I set mine “single” shot mode and start counting and take shots every 2 seconds. In this time lapse, we are accomplish it more than 1 hour.
4) Compile all the pictures and convert it to the video using compatible software.
5) Post your video. I put mine on YouTube and my blog. Good Luck!
